Lillian Hazel (Hanson) Stone Odegard, age 101, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5th, 2016 at the Grand View Care Center in Blair, WI.

Lillian was born March 21st, 1915 to Hans I. and Sina (Nelson) Hanson on the family farm in Square Bluff in rural Blair. Lillian was the youngest of seven children. She attended Brookside Elementary School in Welch Coulee and graduated from Blair High School. She worked as a telephone operator, a clerk in Schroder's grocery store, a waitress at the Blair Café, a can packer at the Blair Canning Company, an assistant at the nursing home and also did some home care for the shut-ins and the disabled.

Lillian married Herbert Stone in 1934 and they owned and operated Stone Skelgas & Electric in Blair. Herbert & Lillian had two sons, Richard "Rock" and Ronald "Pebble." Herbert died in 1963. Lillian remarried Chet Odegard in 1967 and he passed away in 1973.

Lillian was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Blair and had a deep faith. Her closing words were always "God Bless!"

Lillian is survived by her son, Ronald of Black River Falls; seven grandchildren, Mark Stone of Winter Park, FL , Kara (Scott) Pelowski of Franklin, WI, Heidi (John) Schiefelbein of Onalaska, WI, Rodney Stone of Chetek, WI, Roxanne (Joel) Jorstad of New Richmond, WI, Randall (Carleen) Stone of Hayward, WI and Rosalyn (Chris) Govin of Chippewa Falls, WI. Lillian is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-grandchildren and great-great -grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, Lillian was preceded in death by her son, Richard of Chetek and her siblings.

A service for Lillian will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, October 29th, 2016 in Blair Lutheran Church East in Blair with interment to follow in the Fagernes Lutheran Cemetery in rural Blair. Friends and family may gather 1 hour prior to the service.
