Linda (Thompson) Elliott, age 75, of Whitehall passed from her earthly home to be with her Heavenly Father on March 30, 2015.

Born on March 31,1939, in Whitehall to Ralph and Vera (Nelson) Thompson, Linda was a joy and inspiration to everyone in her life. She graduated from Whitehall High School and attended Northwestern College (now University of Northwestern -- St. Paul) where she met and later married Allen Elliott of Chicago.

Linda's relationship to her Lord and Savior was best exemplified in her servant's heart, humble presence and gentle spirit. When she wasn't working in her garden, preparing a meal or spending time with family and friends, she was busy with activities at her local church, First Baptist in Whitehall.

Taken from us by complications from an extended illness, Linda is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law Gwendolyn and David Tschanz of Blair, Jane and Norval Pittman of Whitehall, Vivyen and Richard Angelo of Westboro, WI, Maewin Haege of Rosemount, MN, Arleen and Jerry Brantham of South St. Paul, MN; brothers Roger and Donald Thompson (wife Betty) of Whitehall; children Debbie and Brian Taubert of Sioux Falls, SD, Bonnie Elliott of Grand Rapids, MI; Jeffrey and Leigh Elliott of Denver, CO; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery both in Whitehall.

The Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall assisted the family with arrangements.
