Lloyd Schultz Jr., age 82, of Blair, formerly of rural Ettrick, died on Thursday, January 24, 2019 in his home.

Lloyd was born on October 25, 1936 in New London, WI to Lloyd and Esther (Noack) Schultz Sr.  His family to moved to Chippewa County in 1947.

Lloyd moved to Ettrick on a farm work program in 1956.  He lived with the Dean Helstad family in rural Ettrick for 58 years and was considered one of the family.

Lloyd was a proud farmer and worked alongside Dean on the farm and on the milk routes.  He was a familiar face in Ettrick, always smiling and greeting people.  Lloyd volunteered to help with the Ettrick Lions Club, the Ettrick Rod and Gun Club and other organizations.  Lloyd was named Citizen of the Year by the Ettrick Lions Club in 2013.

In 2014, Lloyd became ill and entered the Grand View Care Center in Blair.  Lloyd went to live with Jon and Penny Paulson of Blair in 2016 where he was very happy in his last years.

Lloyd is survived by two sisters, Delores and Dorothy.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Alice and two brothers, Harold and Marvin.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Blair Lutheran Church East (First Lutheran) in Blair.  Vicar Paul Sannerud will officiate.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Memorials may be designated to the Grand View Care Center, the Pigeon Falls Health  Care Center or the Blair Lutheran Church.
