Margaret "Peggy" Lorraine Jacobson, age 93, of Whitehall, died on Sunday, November 15, 2015 in the Grand View Care Center in Blair with her family by her side.

Margaret was born on March 13, 1922 in Duluth, MN to Howard and Grace (Micheaud) Scott. She married Louis Boero in Kenosha in 1939 and lived there until Louis died on January 10, 1945 during World War II. She then moved to Chippewa Falls and later to Blair where she married Ray Arneson. She later moved to Chimney Rock where she married Ernest Jacobson. In 1968, Margaret moved to Whitehall where she lived until moving to the Grand View Care Center in June of 2015.

Peggy was very proud of her family and never missed a birthday or Christmas greeting to any of them, always sending cards and well wishes. Peggy did not graduate from high school but received her GED and attended the Accredited School of Beauty and worked for Jo's Beauty Salon in Blair. She also worked at Golden Plump and Ashley Furniture prior to her retirement. After her retirement, Peggy worked at Countryside Co-op until she was 90 years old.

Peggy was an avid and gifted quilter and other handicraft work such as embroidery. She took pleasure in giving her crafts as gifts and displaying them at various craft shows.

Margaret will be missed by all her family and extended family members as well as her many friends she was fortunate to meet over her lifetime.

Margaret is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Donald) Sosalla of Whitehall and Marie (Ronald) Kugel of Strum; her grandchildren, Tony Wiench of Red Wing, MN, Laurie (Wiench) Grimm of Watertown, Beth (Rich) Bennett of Sommerset, Kris (Tom) Stephens of Whitehall, Cheryl Sosalla of Whitehall, Craig (Kris) Sosalla of Whitehall, Michelle (Michael) Kreye of Wabasha, MN, Michael (Michelle) Sosalla of Andover, MN, Wayne (Christine) Kugel of Chisago City, MN and Scott (Barbara) Kugel of Germantown; her step-grandchildren, George, Mike, Maryann, Fred, Sandy, Susan, Kim, Jean, Connie, Bruce, Keith, Mandy and Cassia along with approximately 40 other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family apologizes if they have missed anyone.

In addition to her parents and husband, Louis, Margaret was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara (Boero) Wiench; three brothers, John, Richard and Lloyd Scott and two step-sons, George and Jim Jacobson.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in Saint John's Catholic Church with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery both in Whitehall. Father Woodrow Pace will officiate.

Visitation will be Friday, November 20, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
