Marie Josephine Stellpflug, age 82, of rural Whitehall, died on Monday, July 19, 2021 at her home.

Marie was born on January 29, 1939 in Arcadia to Sylvester and Agnes (Brom) Stanislowski. She married Kenneth G. Stellpflug on June 17, 1961 in Trempealeau. Kenneth preceded Marie in death on July 31, 2009.

Marie was a caring and giving person who always put the needs of others before her own. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Some of her most enjoyable hobbies were watching her children and grandchildren participate in their activities. She also shared her love for cooking and baking by making delicious food for her family and friends. She was a talented seamstress, creating many outfits for her family. Marie took pride in taking care of the flowers and landscaping around her house. In her younger days, Marie was an avid golfer, and you could always find her watching the latest golf tournament on TV. She also enjoyed bowling with a fun group of women. Spending time with friends and having a good time was also a highlight in her life. Marie worked hard her entire life. She held many different jobs throughout her workingcareer. She worked at Gopher Glove Factory, was an in-home daycare provider, worked as a CNA at Grand View Nursing Home, in the deli at Clipper's IGA and Ashley Furniture.

Marie is survived by a son, Kurt (Kristina) Stellpflug of LaCrosse; two daughters, Cindy (Verlyn) Paulson of Menomonie and Kim (Jordan) Pechuman of Roberts; five grandchildren, Kyle (Tess) Stellpflug, Chad (Megan) Stellpflug, Morgan (Landon) Van Ryn and Dakota and Braden Paulson; four step-grandchildren, Anthony and Cassandra Pechuman and Wyatt and Whitney Puent; three great-grandchildren, Kenna and Lucy Stellpflug and Aspen Van Ryn; a brother, Edward (Theresa) Stanislowski of Trempealeau and a brother-in-law, Mike Canar of Trempealeau.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by an infant daughter; three brothers, Alvin Stanislowski, David Stanislowski and Richard Stanislowski; two sisters, Esther Canar and Betty Stanislowski.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in SaintJohn's Catholic Church with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery both in Whitehall. Father George will officiate.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
