Marilyn "Mia" Jean Bagniewski (Vehrenkamp), age 89 of La Crosse.  passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 surrounded by family.

Mia was born on August 4, 1936 in Ettrick to Henry and Florence (Thomas) Vehrenkamp. She was baptized and confirmed at North Beaver Creek Lutheran Church. Mia graduated from Blair High School in 1954.

She married Bob "Baggie" Bagniewski on February 12, 1955. Together they raised seven children. Mia enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, dancing, singing and watching the Packers.

Mia is survived by her children, Cindy (Tom) Goodwin, Debby (Mark) Garson, Ron Bagniewski, Dan (Lori) Bagniewski, Sue Wieman and Pam (Steve) Craker; her grandchildren, Jessica Peterson, Mike Garson, Danielle Weber, Audrah Waterhouse, Alison Strand, Sean Bagniewski, Gabrielle Shireman, Bobby Bagniewski, Molly, Jack and Sage Wieman and Mason Craker. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, Jory, Kaden, Liam, Delaney, Natalie, Maddox, Kipton, Leo, Teddy, Frankie, Mika and Torren, along with several beloved nieces, nephews and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob;  her parents, Henry and Florence; her brothers, John and Richard Vehrenkamp; her sister, Louise Vorce; her daughter, Sandy Pehler; her son-in-law, Terry Wieman and her special friend, Truman Everson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026 at North Beaver Creek Faith Lutheran Church (brick church) in rural Ettrick. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by the burial in the church cemetery. Pastor Sharilyn Wendt will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the North Beaver Creek Lutheran Church Youth Group.
