Marion LouSalle Berge, age 83, of rural Blair, died on Sunday, October 20, 2013 in the Black River Memorial Hospital in Black River Falls.

Marion was born on February 22, 1930 in the town of Chimney Rock, Trempealeau County, WI to Lyle and Marion (Severson) Klevgard. She married Hensel A. Berge on October 16, 1948 in Northfield, WI. Hensel preceded Marion in death on November 26, 2007.

Marion graduated from the Whitehall High School in 1948. She was employed as a seamstress for Country Lace in Pigeon Falls and also worked at the Whitehall Veterinary Service in Whitehall. Marion enjoyed reading, quilting, knitting and was a member of the VFWMarion is survived by a daughter, Dorothy (Theron) Benedict of Hanover, WI; a son, Marshall (Sandi) Berge of Black River Falls; four grandchildren, Tim (Tanya) Benedict of Janesville, Julie (Travis) Kraft of Cypress, TX, Jessica (friend, Andrew Martin) Radcliffe of LaCrosse and Angela (Aaron) Balow of Holmen; nine great-grandchildren, Austin, Hunter and Bayley Benedict, Ethan, Elizabeth, Thea and Theron Kraft, Aspen and Adelynn Balow; three sisters, Charlotte (Arlo) Brees of Fairbanks, AK, Eunice Ronning of Elkhorn, WI and Becky (Scott) Whalin of Yerington, NV.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marion was preceded in death by a sister, Betty.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in Peace Lutheran of Pigeon Falls in Pigeon Falls with Pastor Roger Benrud officiating. Burial will be in the Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Pigeon Falls at a later date.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
