Marion Blanche Swenson, age 97, of Blair, died on Monday, December 6, 2021 in the Grand View Care Center in Blair.

Marion was born on December 2, 1924 in French Creek to Elmer and Amalia (Jorgenson) Holstad. She married Harold L. Swenson on August 5, 1944 in the French Creek Lutheran Church parsonage in rural Ettrick.  Harold preceded Marion in death on December 18, 2001.

Marion and Harold farmed for many years.  She enjoyed dancing, playing cards and bingo, cleaning, collecting salt and pepper shakers, flower gardening and baking, especially at Christmastime with her granddaughters and great-grand daughters.

Marion is survived by three sons, Ronald, Steven (friend, Patricia Hotchkiss) and Dale (Cyndi) Swenson; four granddaughters, Renae (Virgil) Kasys, Chelsea (Garrett) Vorce, Amber (Andy) Lee and Jenna (Jake) Houdek; six great-grandchildren, Martynas and Sofia Kasys, Brooklyn and Aubrey Lee and Amelia and Harper Houdek.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marion was preceded in death by a son, Michael.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in Blair Lutheran Church East (masks are required) with burial in the Rest Haven Cemetery both in Blair.  Pastor Paul Sannerud will officiate.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
