Marjorie "Margie" L. Halverson, age 75, of rural Taylor, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at her home.

Marjorie was born on May 25, 1945  to Rudolph and Margaret (Bergerson) Halverson.

Marj orie's first job was as a nursing assistant at Ebenezer Nursing Home in Minneapolis.  She could not become accustomed to the large city so she returned to the home farm.  After several years, she became employed at the Pine View Nursing Home in Black River Falls and worked as a nursing assistant for 19 years.

Marjorie loved gospel and country western music and once sang with Nashville recording artist, Glen Barber, at the Rainbow Supper Club in Black River Falls during deer hunting season.

Marjorie loved writing, poetry and animals, especially cats.  She always put food out for squirrels, rabbits, possum and birds and put apples and salt out for the deer.

In her younger days, Marjorie traveled to South Dakota, Illinois, Iowa and Missouri.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Merlin and Roderick and a sister, Bonnie.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Blair.  Mr. Scott Brown will officiate.
