Mary (nee Groenwoldt) Molitor was born the 8th child of Theodore and Dorothy Groenwoldt on December 6, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI.  She and her sister Elaine were raised by Tony and Laura Molitor from a young age.   Together, they lived the farm life as children in Taylor, WI and then in Phoenix, AZ as teens and into adulthood.  Mary was able to do much travel as a young person and worked a variety of jobs while in AZ.  She worked at the Luke Airforce base and the cabbage and lettuce fields in California.  Life was not always easy but in spite of its challenges, she had many adventures.

She married Eymard Molitor on November 28, 1964.  Together they raised three children, Shannon, Joe and Nicole (Ginger) on the farm in Arcadia, WI.

In 1986, with Eymard and her sister Elaine's help, they were able to locate Mary's twins for whom she had given the best opportunity of a good life through adoption.  Tony and Melissa Wynn were reunited with their birth mother and maintained a relationship with the family since that time.  She had always worried about having done what was best for all her children and upon meeting the twins and their families, she knew she had done the right thing.

Mary loved gardening all her life including the many houseplants that were the decor of her home. She loved giant sunflowers, red roses and giant juicy tomatoes from the garden.  Together, Eymard and Mary worked tirelessly to keep farm life going with cash crops, pigs, horses, sheep and chickens. We raised so many capons (chickens) that for many years eating chicken wasn't on our personal menus as adults.  In 1993, Mary and Eymard divorced.  Mary took to factory work and visited relatives and grandchildren often.  She and Eymard remained good friends, often grocery shopping and having dinner together.  They would call each other and often he would send garden produce home with her.  Holidays were spent on the farm playing Uno, Scrabble and Monopoly and phone calls to Joe and extended family with all of us together. The holidays were always filled with lots of food and great memories made through the stories grandparents tell their grandchildren, with a few tears and lots of laughter.

2020 has not been kind as the pandemic prevented visits with family.   Then as our elders who had health conditions could no longer hang on passed, grieving was done alone which has had its own price.  In October, Mary was diagnosed with lung cancer.

Mary passed peacefully December 8, 2020 in the Pigeon Falls Health Care Center in Pigeon Falls.

She is survived by Eymard Molitor and children Tony Wynn of Phoenix, AZ, grandsons Andy and Brooke Wynn, granddaughters Mia Bella and Ariel, grandsons Camron and Zane, Melissa (Wynn) and Fred Smith of Phoenix, AZ, grandsons Jason, Jesse, Joshua and Elias Smith, great grandchildren Elisia, Elliot and Kadence, Shannon (Molitor) and Tim Olson, grandsons Shawn Logan and Tyler Olson of Waterford, WI, Joe Molitor and JoAnne Woolever of Anchorage, AK, Nicole (Ginger) Molitor of Hayward, WI, sister Yvonne (Groenwoldt) and Ted Wolfe of Shawano, John and Ellen Groenwoldt of Waukesha, Elaine and Charles Maggard of Phoenix, AZ and many, many nieces and nephews, great friends and neighbors.  She is also survived by sister-in-law, Ellen Schlesser and brother-in-law Lambert Molitor (Cheryl).

Preceding Mary in death include her parents, Theodore and Dorothy Groenwoldt, sisters Sophie Benrud, Margaret Pagel and Sharon Fischer, brothers Glen Axne and Teddy Groenwoldt.  She is also preceded by her in-laws Stephen and Genevieve Molitor, sister's-in-law Catherine Schaub, Virginia Anderson, Caroline Klonecki, Geraldine Kujak, Genevieve (Gene) Eichman, Patricia Sobotta and brother's-in-law Stephen Molitor and Franklin Molitor.
