Maxine G. Johnson, age 91, of Osseo, formerly of Blair, died on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in her home in Osseo.

Maxine was born on April 23, 1926 in Rochester, MN to Irving and Stella (Sepin)     Ingalls. She married James M. Johnson on November 8, 1959 in Nashua, IA. They raised their family in Waukesha, WI and then returned back to Blair. James preceded Maxine in death on August 7, 2012.

Maxine lived a long fulfilling life caring for her many loved ones. She retired from the AT&T phone company after 30 years of employment. Maxine's big heart and her strong work ethic allowed her to continue working well into her late 70's.

Maxine is survived by seven daughters, Margaret (Ken) Long, Marsha Foster, Melinda Sorensen, Jackie (Dan) Riesing, Jill (Mike) De Luca, Sandra Johnson and Sally Werchoski; a son, James (Tracey) Johnson; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Kathy (Tom) Ferguson.

In addition to her parents and husband, Maxine was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond and Roger Sorensen; two grandsons, Andrew Long and Timothy Holzer; a granddaughter, Lori Long; a great-granddaughter, Anna Janzen and a brother, Donald "Buck" Ingalls.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair with Scott Brown officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation towards Alzheimer's research or the Alzheimer's Association.
