Melissa Marie Suchla, age 29, of Whitehall, died on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 in the Gundersen Health System in LaCrosse.

Melissa was born on May 5, 1991 in Arcadia to Gary and Paula (Schultz) Suchla.
She graduated from the Whitehall Memorial High School in 2010.  Melissa then went on to get a business specialist degree from the Western Technical College and was close to completing her degree in business management.  At the time of her passing, Melissa worked as a Recruitment Coordinator for Ashley Furniture.  She was also a bartender at CJ's Bar in Whitehall.

Melissa was best known for her unique personality.  She wasn't afraid to tell it like it is and say how she feels.  You never had to guess what she was thinking.  She shared feelings with everyone.  It is hard to describe how much Melissa meant to friends and family.  She was like the glue that held so many people together.  If you had Melissa's love, you had all of her love.  You had a friend that would stay through anything with you, right by your side, come what may.  She was such a proud and devoted aunt, sister, daughter, niece, granddaughter and beautiful friend.  She had a great sense of humor, and even when she wasn't trying to be funny, most people just had to laugh at some of the things she would say, no matter how seriously she said them.

Although our hearts feel like they have been ripped apart, we will be strong for Melissa, and cry for her, and laugh for her and heal with her memories close to our hearts.

Melissa is survived by her mother, Paula (Thomas) Stuve of Whitehall; her brother, Mitchal (Saida) Suchla; her sister, Maria (Shane) Kudrna; her step-sister, Nicole Stuve;  her half sister, Jessica (Andy) Schwartz; her grandparents, Pauline Schultz and Donald and Beatrice Suchla and her beautiful nieces and nephews, Collin Stuve, Hayden Kudrna, Tucker and Bo Schwartz.

Melissa was preceded in death by her dear father, Gary Suchla and her grandfather, Donald Schultz.

A Zoom celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.

The Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall is assisting the family with arrangements.
