Merrill "Doc" Gerald Holliday, age 77, of Ettrick, died on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in his home.

Doc was born on September 27, 1943 in Rochester, MN to Gerald and Margaret (McGowan) Holliday.  He graduated from the John Marshall High School in Rochester, MN.  Doc married Genell Hoff on June 30, 1962 in Rochester, MN.  Genell preceded Merrill in death on September 16, 1994.

Doc was employed at Fiberite in Winona, MN and AMPI in Blair prior to his retirement.

Merrill is survived by three children, Rory (friend, Teresa) Holliday of Ettrick, Wanda (Stewart) Anderegg of Blair and Cory (Chanelle) Holliday of Black River Falls; six grandchildren, Aaron (Stephanie) Anderegg, Nathan Anderegg, Reed Holliday, Annie Holliday, Morgan Holliday and Cadence Holliday; two great-grandchildren, Elliott and Everleigh Anderegg; a sister, Barbara (Neil) Farnham; two half-sisters, Robin Keefe Schoeppner and Rene Halligan and a half-brother, George Keefe.

Doc was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Blair Lutheran Church East (First Lutheran) with burial in the Rest Haven Cemetery both in Blair.  Pastor Paul Sannerud will officiate.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

The Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.
