Mildred Harriet Dick, age 95, of Ettrick, died on Friday, December 8, 2017 in the Grand View Care Center in Blair.

Mildred was born on March 21, 1922 in Ettrick to Harry and Lena (Stensven) Ekern, one of nine children. She married Irwin Dick on October 3, 1940 in Ettrick. Irwin preceded Mildred in death on May 18, 1979.

Mildred was employed with ETCO Industries in Ettrick, owned and operated Irv's bar with her husband, Irwin, in Ettrick and later was employed as a certified nursing assistant with the Grand View Care Center in Blair.

Mildred enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, baking, music and playing cards. She also loved watching the Milwaukee Brewers, but most of all, she enjoyed her family.

Mildred is survived by five children, Alice Holthaus, Bill (Marilyn) Dick, Judi Tranberg, Anita (Les) Hart and Patty (Kevin Mortenson) Westlie; 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Owen; four grandchildren and a son-in-law, David Tranberg.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Bridget's Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery both in Ettrick. Father Brian Jazdzewski will officiate.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. in Saint Bridget's Catholic Church in Ettrick and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

The Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.
