Patricia "Patsy" Hildegard Armitage, age 68, of Blair passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2013 with family by her side in the Mayo Clinic Health System in LaCrosse.

Patsy was born on April 1, 1945 in Whitehall to Richard and Mary Lois (Tidquist) Berg. She married Gary Armitage on June 26, 1965 in Blair. Together they had three children, Penny Lyn, Tammy Sue and Travis Merle.

Patsy worked alongside Gary on the farm and was a long time employee of the Tri-County Memorial Hospital in Whitehall. She was known to all around her for her laughter, sense of humor and love of life. She could brighten any room and was always the life of the party.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Gary; her three children, Penny (Jon) Paulson, Tammy (Jerry Murphy) Long and Travis (Stacy) Armitage; her grandchildren, Kailee (Brian) Jahr, Jonathan Paulson, Tricia (Dustin) Shramek, Garrison, Grason and Gabe Armitage; her great-grandchildren, Kyle Jahr, Alivia Coleman, Chloe Paulson and Emma Shramek all of Blair; sisters, Annie (Larry) Stegall of Rockford, IL, Lindy (Bob) Plumer of Durand and Julie (Jim) Pogreba of New Rockford, ND; sisters-in-law, Tracy Berg of Black River Falls, Carla (Jon) Tenneson of Blair and Brenda (Norman) Olson of Taylor; brothers-in-law, Dennis Armitage of Armstrong, MO and Alan (Sandy) Grass of Blair; several cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Douglas Berg; a sister, Mary Jane Christianson; a brother-in-law, Gary Christianson and her mother and father-in-law, Rosella and Marshall Grass.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Blair Lutheran Church East in Blair.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
