Pearl E. Pederson, age 94, of Blair, died on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Grand View Care Center in Blair.

Pearl was born on October 16, 1922, in Blair to Alfred S. and Julia (Holman) Peterson. She graduated from Blair High School in 1940, and attended Winona Business College. She worked at the U.S. Post Office in Blair, was the secretary at Zion Lutheran Church, and later was a legal secretary.

Pearl married Angus R. "Bud" Sather on June 9, 1946, in Blair. Bud died on June 12, 1969. She married James "Jim" Pederson on July 3, 1971, in Blair. Jim died on March 8, 2008.

Pearl was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Blair where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, served on the church council, and helped make mission quilts for Lutheran World Relief. She was a Girl Scout leader and a weekly visitor at the Blair-Preston Public Library. Besides being an avid reader, Pearl was a serious golfer and loved sewing, quilting, shopping, walking, and spending sunny days on sandbars on the Mississippi. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors are a daughter, Kim (Robert) Twesme of Neillsville; a grandson, Scott (Stephanie) Twesme of Lake Mills, Wi; a granddaughter, Lynn (Chris) Clark, of Boise ID; four great-grandchildren, Katy and Zachary Twesme and Tyler and Molly Clark; a sister-in-law, Shirley Peterson of Kent, WA and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Arnold H. Peterson and a sister and brother-in-law, Stella and Rudy Ellings.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in the West Building of Blair Lutheran Church with Pastor Kevin Jacobson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

The Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated for Gundersen Lutheran Hospice Services, Grand View Care Center, Blair-Preston Public Library, or Blair Lutheran Church.
