Phyllis Ann Berg, age 72, of Whitehall, was called home by our Lord on Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, MN. She was welcomed with open arms by her husband, Lenus and parents, Floyd and Evelyn Dahl.

Phyllis was born on July 10, 1943 in Whitehall to Floyd and Evelyn (Fromm) Dahl. She married Lenus S. Berg on August 12, 1961 in Pleasantville. Lenus preceded Phyllis in death on June 12, 2007.

Phyllis lived in the Whitehall area for her entire life and was an avid supporter of Norse athletics. Her greatest joy was attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events and she was incredibly proud of all their accomplishments.

Phyllis was the matriarch of the Berg family and always made everyone feel loved, valued and supported. She loved holiday traditions and was the glue that made the Berg family members as tight-knit and close as they are today.

Phyllis is survived by three children, Randy (Lori) Berg of Whitehall, Rhonda (Rick) Malecha of Lindstrom, MN and Ryan Berg of Hammond, WI; seven grandchildren who were the apple of her eye, Adam, Amanda, Aaron, Bailey, Keagen, Madison and Kennedi; a sister, Marie Lisowski of Whitehall.

In addition to her parents and husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bob Lisowski.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with burial in the Lincoln cemetery both in Whitehall. Pastor Terry Lorenz will officiate.

Visitation will be Friday, April 29, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Phyllis will be deeply missed by all who were privileged enough to know her and her impact on countless lives will continue to live on.
