Ricky "Smiley" Lee Miles, age 69, of rural Whitehall, died on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 in the Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.

Ricky was born on May 9, 1953 in Deming, NM to William and Dorothy (Johnson) Miles.  He married Mary Hollister on June 5, 1993 in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Whitehall.

Smiley was employed with Lunda Construction as a cement finisher for over forty years prior to his retirement.  He loved fishing, hunting and guns.  Smiley enjoyed  working on old cars and tinkering around in his garage.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Mary; two brothers, Rex Miles of rural Whitehall and Terry (Michelle) of Neilsville and his black lab, Diesel.

In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike and Bill.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall. Mr. Scott Brown will officiate.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Burial will be in the Pigeon Creek Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Pigeon Falls at a later date.
