Robert Jack Greenwell Jr., age 72, of Trempealeau, formerly of rural Ettrick, died on Monday, March 29, 2021 in the Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare in LaCrosse.

Robert was born on November 18, 1948 in Mankato, MN to Robert Jack and Louise Evelyn (Torgerson) Greenwell Sr.  He married Linda Gilberg on October 20, 1973 in Trempealeau.

Robert, better known as Bob or Bobbie, was a loyal employee of Tremplo Tool Co. in Trempealeau, WI from 1975 until his retirement in 2012.  Before moving to Trempealeau in 2005, Bob raised his family in rural Ettrick/Blair on several acres of natural playground and deer hunting haven for Bob's children and extended family members.  He is remembered by many as a dedicated Boy Scout leader and always in attendance for any event his three boys participated in during their years at Blair-Taylor.  Bob loved to travel with his family and there was always a trip or three planned every year.  He enjoyed trying new restaurants and meals with his family, especially going to buffets with his boys.  Bob also treasured his time at home watching TV and movies.  He was a man of few words, although his famous "Oh, golly!" was so cherished, it should be trademarked.  Bob was a skilled listener and his smile, alone, was enough to fill the room with joy and happiness.

Bob is survived by his wife, Linda; sister, Sandy; three children, Craig, Cory, and Cyle; daughters-in-law, Jeni and Brooke; five grandchildren, Abbie, Aryn, Ashton, Max, and Oliver; and many other family members and friends who love him very much.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his revered brother, Randy, and Uncle Dale.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 1-3 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair.
