Rodney Iver Hoem, age 51, of Ettrick, died on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at his home.

Rodney was born on September 14, 1962 in the town of Ettrick to Charles and Patricia (Arneson) Hoem. He married Cindy Romero on April 20, 1996 in Bayfield, WI.

Rodney's true compassion was driving semi's. He drove for McDonah (Winona, MN), Roehl (Marshfield), Trac (Menomonie) and Ashley (Arcadia) the past 13 years. He was very proud of his Million Mile Award.

Rodney will always be remembered for his warm personality, welcoming hospitality and old country music. He was always the life of a party. Rodney will be missed by all the ones he has touched in his life.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Cindy; three children, Shannon DeYoung, James (Leah) C. Hoem and Kiley Hoem; eight grandchildren, his mother, Patricia Hoem; two brothers, Chuck (Tammy) and Jim (Vickie) Hoem; a sister, Pam (Dave) Hoff; a sister-in-law, Peggy (Carl) Romero; a brother-in-law, Chris (Josie) Lehmann; three nieces, Chelsey Hoff, Katlin and Lacey Hoem; three nephews, Dusty (Hilary) Hoff, Kole (Ami) and Karl (Harley) Hoem.

Rodney was preceded in death by his father, a son, Brandon; a brother, Paul; grandparents, Edwin and Anna Arneson and Iver and Tillie Hoem.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the North Beaver Creek Faith Lutheran Church in rural Ettrick. Pastor Roger Grow will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by the Runnestrand-Peterson American Legion Post #354.

Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.
