Roger Berton Iverson, age 74 of Pigeon Falls WI, was born in Whitehall, WI to John and Ruth (Back) Iverson on April 26, 1943.  Surrounded by his family, he passed away in the Gundersen Health System in  La Crosse on Saturday July 22, 2017.

After a mischievous childhood, he married Katherine Anderegg on November 12, 1960.  Roger and Katherine later divorced.

Hauling milk filled his early adult years until he began his trucking career as a meat carrier for the Whitehall Packing Plant.  On October 21, 1983, Roger  married Barbara "Bobbie" Weston in Caledonia, MN.  In his four million plus "safe" mile career, trucking for Ashley Furniture began.  After retiring from Ashley Furniture in 2008 he started driving truck for Tri-City Sanitation in 2009 where he was still working.

If a good meal was available, Roger and his late friend, Dave Giese, enjoyed traveling to various Norwegian church dinners and community events.  Additionally they were avid fans for many school sport activities.  He and Reynolds Tomter "stayed young" celebrating their birthdays together year after year.  One of Roger's favorite activities was riding in Dave Erickson's helicopter over the  Trempealeau County area and enjoying the company of his nephew, Mitch Hanevold.

Roger will be missed by his children, James (Lorie) Iverson of Abbotsford, Lisa (Dale ) Losinski of Tuscon, AZ, Cheryl Lambeck-Ledford, Diane (Martin) Riley and Barbara Lambeck all of Pennsylvania,  Steven (Kim) Lambeck of Pigeon Falls, Danielle Lambeck and Nicole (Hayes) Lambeck-Johnson both of Trempealeau; three sisters, Linda (the late Roger) Hanevold of Pigeon Falls,  Carol (Carroll) Kindschy of Wausau and Donna Christensen  of Lake Geneva.  He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends including Dan and Heather Pettis.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie, who died on February 21, 2016; two  daughters, Debra Kay Iverson and Lisa Lambeck-Gray and  a son, William Lambeck.

A private family graveside service will be held with his very dear friend, Pastor Dale Moe, speaking. A public celebration of Roger's life and a luncheon will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the town of Pigeon town hall in Pigeon Falls.

The Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall is assisting the family with arrangements.
