Ronald Lee Anderson, age 71, of Hackensack, MN, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 in his home.

Ronald was born on June 7, 1951 in La Crosse, WI to Arnold and Ruby (Borchert) Anderson. He graduated from the Taylor High School in 1969. After his graduation, he attended the University of Wisconsin River Falls where he earned a bachelor's degree in Soil Science. After receiving his BS, he taught high school at Deerfield.  While he was an educator, he also loved baseball and volunteered to be the assistant baseball coach.

Ronald decided with his gift for conversation, he would pursue a different career. He took a salesman position with Pillsbury. That was all it took, he spent the rest of his career until his retirement in 2016 as a salesman for various companies, nationally and internationally. Ronald traveled extensively and saw much of the United States along with many foreign countries and loved to explain the exotic dishes he would try in those travels.

Ronald loved art and was always excited to have a new piece, whether it was made from glass, pottery or a painting. He enjoyed sharing his love of art with intriguing Christmas gifts that adorn many of our shelves today and his home. His youngest niece loved to paint for him, and nothing made him happier than when he would receive a painting from her. Ronald never had children, so his nieces were a highlight in his life.

Ronald bought his dream home with his partner, Lucia, in 2016.  Together, they enjoyed gardening, golfing and their dogs. He also loved cheering for Wisconsin sports teams and being able to enjoy a very simple life in his retirement years. In particular, Ron enjoyed cutting and splitting wood for the fireplace, fishing and projects around the property.

Ron is survived by his partner, Lucia Noyes, of Hackensack, MN; her children, Andrew and Sarah; his sister, Mary (Ron) Hanson of Sparta, WI; nieces, Kami (Chad) Ayres of Menomonie,WI and their sons, Xavier, Aiden, Deven and Nolen,  Kelly (Craig) Erickson of Sparta WI and their son, Carter and their daughter, Kadynce, Keni (Tyler) Theisen of Milwaukee, WI and their son, Eridus. Ronald is also survived by his former wife, Jeannie (Mike) Hatch of Minneapolis, MN.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair.  Mr. Scott Brown will officiate.  Burial will be in the Trempealeau Valley Lutheran Cemetery in rural Taylor.  Next to Ron inside the casket will be the cremains of his dear dog, Packer.
