Ronald Ray Spangberg, age 79, of Wauwatosa, died on Saturday, April 21, 2017 in the Silverado Memory Care Center in Brookfield.

Ronald was born on October 31, 1938 in Whitehall to Marvin and Laura (Solsrud) Spangberg. He graduated from the Whitehall High School and completed his education at the Univeristy of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Ronald served in the United States Army for two years.

Ronald was employed as a social worker for the Children's Court for Milwaukee County. During his retirement he took great pride in his yard and gardens. He willingly helped and befriended many neighbors, especially those who were elderly. He and his dog, "Willoughby", enjoyed walking the neighborhood and greeting all they met. Ronald was also a great fan of the Wisconsin State Fair.

Ronald is survived by his sister, Barbara Glas of Richfield, MN; two nephews, Brian (Linda) Glas and their children, Erika and Paul; John (Erin) Glas and their children, Parker and Eva.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery both in Whitehall. Pastor Peter Jonas will officiate.

Friends may call one hour prior to the services.

Memorials may be designated to the Alzheimer's Foundation of Wisconsin.
