Ruth Louise Arneson, age 85, of Whitehall, died on Friday, June 19, 2015 in the Gundersen Health System in LaCrosse.

Ruth was born on April 28, 1930 in the town of Hale, Trempealeau County, WI to Barnabus and Louise (Edinger) Dean. She married Floyd Arneson on July 9, 1948 in Whitehall. Floyd preceded Ruth in death on April 18, 2003.

Ruth worked as a nurse's aide for 25 years at the Whitehall hospital. She also worked for 27 years at the Trempealeau County Health Care Center.

Ruth is survived by her children, Susan Bloom, Jean Murphy and Chuck Arneson; grandchildren, Dan Bloom II, Anissa Gauthier, Crystal Musser and Andrew Arneson; great- grandchildren, Nathan Bloom, Tyler Bloom, Alexis Gauthier, Jonathan Gauthier, Javin Gauthier and Liam Musser. Ruth is also survived by many friends and relatives.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her brothers, William, Lawrence, Clarence, Donald, Lester and James.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 11:00 p.m. in the Taylor Lutheran Church in Taylor with Pastor Benjamin Ahles-Iverson officiating. Burial will be in the Old Whitehall Cemetery in rural Whitehall.

Friends may call Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
