"Sandy" Jean Jack, age 77, of Onalaska, formerly of Blair, died on Sunday, December 6, 2020 in her home.

Sandy was born on September 15, 1943 in Chicago, IL to Godfred and Cordelia "Corky" (Kauth) Mantey. She married Dennis "Denny" L Jack on July 18, 1964 in Wisconsin Rapids. They raised two daughters in Blair, WI.

Sandy loved spending her free time relaxing with her dog, going for long drives in her classic car, and being there for every event in her grandchildren's lives. Sandy enjoyed hosting guests in her home and treating them to snacks, beverages, and stories about her grandchildren. She will be missed dearly for her caring, lighthearted, larger than life attitude, along with her love of doing anything she can to help those around her. She was known in the community for dressing up as the Easter Bunny or Frosty the Snowman for children's and family events. Sandy also organized and hosted cut-throat family easter egg hunts. She enjoyed all of the time she spent with the residents and staff of both Havenwood and Springbrook senior living homes. She was known for her generosity and not taking life too seriously. She was always ready to lend an ear and laugh.

Sandy is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer (Jack) Noren and Jody (Jack) Tranberg; two sons-in-law, Merle Noren and Andy Tranberg; five grandchildren, Kylee (Noren) Zander, Jacob Noren, Ayden Tranberg, Isaac Tranberg, and Brynn Tranberg; grandson-in-law, Joshua Zander; two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Zane Zander; sister, Marilyn (Mantey) Yeske; brother, Charlie Mantey; sisters-in-law, Ellyn Jack and Terrie Kimbrell; and her dog and best friend of ten years, Lucy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Corky Mantey; her husband, Denny; her grandchildren, Travis and Lexa Noren; her brother-in-law, Ronald Yeske; and her sister-in-law, Kathy Mantey.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Lily of the Valley in rural Blair with Pastor John Twiton officiating.  Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.   Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Blair.
