Sarah Beth (Haug) Sosalla, age 55, of Whitehall, died on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.

Sarah was born on March 8, 1961 to Leroy and Lois (Peterson) Haug. She graduated from Whitehall High School in 1979 and attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and WTC. She married Frederic Sosalla on June 13, 1981 in Whitehall and they later divorced.

Sarah had worked in the rehabilitation department at Gundersen Tri-County Hospital, as a nurse's aide at Grand View Care Center in Blair, was a bartender and was currently employed at the Trempealeau County Health Care Center in Whitehall as a personal care worker since 2014. Sarah also held several medical certifications.

Sarah was a caring and loving individual who always put others needs before her own. She enjoyed playing games and spending time with family and friends.

Sarah is survived by her son, Nicholas Sosalla and his girlfriend, Megan Ott; her father, Leroy Haug; two brothers, Paul (Holly) and David (Barb) Haug; a sister, Sondra (Dale) Lyngen Jr.; aunts and uncles, John (Shelbie) Haug, Carolyn Hagen, Gerald (Vicki) Peterson; cousins, Kenneth (Angela) Everson, Karl (Karen) Everson, Matthew (Connie) Peterson, Keyna (Scott) Behnan, Ryan (Bethany) Peterson, Susan Kundy, Paula (Paul) Dostal and Daniel (Karyn) Hagen. Sarah loved and cared for all her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Sarah was preceded in death by her mother, Lois; aunts Beverly Dahlby and Janice Peterson; an infant son, Justin; a cousin, Keith Everson and her grandparents, Leif and Agnes Peterson and Palmer and Selma Haug.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall with Pastor Dorothy Sandahl officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
