Sharon Kay Hizer, age 74, of Blair, died on Friday, November 3, 2023 in the Gundersen Health System in LaCrosse.

Sharon was born on July 2, 1949 in Whitehall to Milton and Amy (Rogness) Tranberg.

Sharon attended elementary school and high school in Taylor.  She worked at Clipper's IGA in Whitehall and also did home health care.

Sharon is survived by a son, Douglas Hizer of Wisconsin Rapids; three grandsons, Damien, Donovan and Dawson; three brothers, Dale Otterson of Blair, Paul Otterson of LaCrosse and Dean Otterson of Tomah; three sisters, Linda Bautch of Blair, Beth O'Hara of St. Louis, MO and Lori Otterson of LaCrosse.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Douglas Schuch and two brothers, Bruce and Keith.

A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at a later date.
