Sonia Elaine Andrus, age 72, of Belle Plain, MN formerly of Osseo, WI died on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in her home.

Sonia was born on September 18, 1941 in Osseo to Jordan and Thora (Evenson) Torpen. She married Steven Wayne Andrus on May 14, 1960 in Osseo. Steven preceded Sonia in death in 1993.

Sonia was employed with Control Data/VTC prior to her retirement. Sonia enjoyed spending time with her family and going to casinos.

Sonia is survived by two sons, Scott (Patty) Andrus of New Market, MN and Shaun (Dana) Andrus of Burnsville, MN; two daughters, Suzanne (Mark "Smoke") Marsolek of Pleasanvtville, WI and Shaleen (Chuck) Burger of Belle Plain, MN; five grandsons, Matthew (Holly) and Dylan (Vanessa) Marsolek, Alex, Eric and Jacob Andrus; four great-grandsons, Aiden Marsolek, Presley, Riley and Slade Andrus; two sisters, Beatrice (Arnold) Larson of Osseo, WI and Clarice Gran of Pigeon Falls, WI; a brother, James Torpen of Eau Claire, WI; her mother-in-law, brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sonia was preceded in death by three brothers, Ivan, Donald and Raymond Torpen and three sisters, Lillian Kelly, Joyce Leer and Evelyn Larson.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the King's Valley Evangelical Lutheran Church in rural Osseo, WI with Pastor Linda Marlett officiating. Burial will be in the Osseo Cemetery in Osseo, WI at a later date. Friends may call two hours prior to the service.

The Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
