Sylvia Charlotte Anderson, age 86, of rural Whitehall, died on Monday, December 9, 2013 in the Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.

Sylvia was born on December 20, 1926 in Fond du Lac, WI to Teaman and Galena (Aleckson) Erickson. She married Vernon "Barney" Casper Anderson in Pigeon Falls on August 1, 1946. Vernon preceded Sylvia in death on May 24, 1994.

Sylvia worked at Ferpel's Café in Whitehall, was a certified nursing assistant for the Golden Age Home in Whitehall and the Pigeon Falls Nursing Home for 35 years. She also did home care for Western Wisconsin Cares.

Sylvia enjoyed making lefse and baking cookies.

Sylvia is survived by three children, Charlene Kjos of LaCrosse, Arn and Eric Anderson both of Coral City; ten grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Elsie (Paul) Falkner of Eau Claire and Marion Amundson of Black River Falls and a son-in-law, Dennis Mlsna of rural Taylor.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sylvia was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Mlsna and two sisters, Ruth and Elvina.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in Peace Lutheran of Pigeon Falls with burial in the Pigeon Creek Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery both in Pigeon Falls. Pastor Roger Benrud will officiate.

Visitation will be Friday, December 13, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
