Thomas Edward Berg, age 78, of Pigeon Falls, died on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in the Pigeon Falls Health Care Center in Pigeon Falls.

Thomas was born on May 26, 1939 in Whitehall to Edwin and Cora (Larson) Berg. He graduated from the Whitehall High School in 1957 and served in the United States Army from 1958-1961. Thomas married Joyce Larson on October 9, 1964 in Pigeon Falls.

Tom worked at the Farmer's Store and Clipper's IGA in Whitehall, the cheese plant in Pigeon Falls and was the custodian at the Pigeon Falls State Bank. After his retirement, Thomas did inside and outside painting.

Tom enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, boating and his dog. He was a quiet and gentle person with a mischievous sense of humor.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Joyce, of Pigeon Falls; a sister, Lorraine Narva of Strum; a brother, Everett (Ann) Berg of Eau Claire; nephews and several other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his brother, John Berg; a nephew, Les Berg and a brother-in-law, Norman Narva.

As per Tom's request, there will be no visitation or service. Interment will be held at a later date.

Suggested memorials may be given to the Trempealeau County Humane Society where Tom was a volunteer and adopted a dog.
