Verdalee Margaret Bjorge, age 79, of rural Pigeon Falls, died on Sunday, August 9, 2015 in the Grand View Care Center in Blair.

Verdalee was born on January 29, 1936 in Rock Falls, WI to Arthur and Margaret (Yenny) Seipel. She married Albert Bjorge on May 2, 1957 in Rock Falls.

Albert and Verdalee farmed in the town of Pigeon for many years. Verdalee enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, gardening, reading and watching the Hallmark channel, old movies and mysteries. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her faith was very important to her.

Verdalee is survived by seven daughters, Mary (Phil) Abraham of Chicago, IL, Anna (Mike) Malzacher of Onalaska, Rosanne Bjorge of Eau Claire, Dot (fiancé, Sree Koka) Weisheipl of San Diego, CA, Barbara Bjorge of Stanley, Bridget (Scott) Kennedy of Apple Valley, MN and Gloria (Mike) Wilkerson of St. Louis, MO; five sons, Patrick of Menomonie, Michael of Pigeon Falls, Joseph (Dawn) of Elloree, SC, John (Kathleen) of Pigeon Falls and James (Kristin) of Fox Lake; 14 grandchildren, Megan, Alexa, Kristen, Max, Tessa, Chelsea, Lindsey, Marissa, Lisa, Amber, Jade, Danny, Sean and Courtney; three great-grandchildren, Camryn, Natalie and Eliana; a sister, Theresa (Matt) Brantner of Eau Claire; a brother, Raymond Seipel of Osseo and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Albert, who died on December 14, 2002, Verdalee was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Seipel and a sister, Berniece Feeney.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in Saint John's Catholic Church in Whitehall with Father Woodrow Pace officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Rock Falls.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall where a Christian prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. followed by a parish rosary. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
