Vernon A. Stone, age 82, formerly of Taylor, died on Monday November 4, 2019 in the Pigeon Falls Health Care Center in Pigeon Falls.

Vernon was born April 10, 1937 to Albert and Lillian (Savage) Stone. Vernon married Sandra Christenson on August 10, 1963 in Pigeon Falls. Sandra preceded Vernon in death on September 8, 2014.

Vernon spent over 30 years driving truck for Neitzel Trucking. Anytime you sat down with Vernon he always had a story to tell. He enjoyed Sunday drives reminiscing about where he picked up milk or who lived where. He always lit up when someone came to visit and his laugh would light up a room.

Vernon is survived by two sons; Randy (Loretta Bautch) Stone of Taylor and Jimmy Stone of Boyceville; a daughter, Tammy (Chad) Berg of Blair; ten grandchildren, LeAnn, Celena, Jonathon, Jack, Emma, Elizabeth, Britanee, Ada, Brendan, and Nicole; six great-grandchildren, Gavin, Jaidyn, Tanner, Hailey, Riley, and Adrian; two brothers, Arlen (Tammy) and Leonard, and a sister Clarice.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Vernon is preceded in death by two daughters, Sheila and Cheryl.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home with burial in the Rest Haven Cemetery both in Blair. Vicar Paul Sannerud will officiate.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Friends are welcome to join the family for a gathering at the Honey Hole in Blair following the service.
