Wendall Allen Yeske, age 74, of rural Blair, died on Thursday, October 15, 2015 in the Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.

Wendall was born on January 10, 1941 in LaCrosse to Harold and Vyda (Martin) Yeske. Wendall graduated from the LaCrosse Central High School in 1958 and served in the United States Army from 1958–1962.

Wendall married Nancy Lundberg on April 5, 1962 in Olympia, WA. Wendall and Nancy lived in the LaCrosse area prior to moving to Blair where they have resided for the last 18 years.

Wendall served with the LaCrosse Police Department for a few years. He was employed with Hemker Oil Company and later Empire Screen Printing Company prior to his retirement.

Wendall enjoyed spending time with family, watching his children and grandchildren play sports and was an avid deer hunter.

Wendall is survived by his wife, Nancy; three children, Kevin (Susan) Yeske of Auburndale, Kathryn (Michael) Vaughan of Holmen and Kyle (Teresa) Yeske of Batavia, IL; ten grandchildren, Trevor (Katrina) Yeske, Colten, Makenna and Lucas Yeske, Jordan and Alex Vaughan, Caleb, Elizabeth, Annika and Claire Yeske; two brothers, Harold (Shirley) Yeske Jr. of LaCrosse and Roger (Rita) Yeske of Onalaska.

In addition to his parents, Wendall was preceded in death by an infant brother, Richard.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Assembly of God Church in Whitehall with Pastor Roger Dissmore officiating.
Military rites will be conducted by the Hutchins-Stendahl American Legion Post #191.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair and also one hour prior to the services at the church on
Friday.
