Bill married Louise Johnson on April 29, 1967 in Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Independence and had recently celebrated their 50 ^th wedding anniversary.

Bill was employed in the banking industry for thirty years prior to his retirement. Bill enjoyed being a "snow bird" by living in Independence during the summer months , then retiring to Mesquite, NV for the remaining seasons. He was a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers, the Wisconsin Badgers and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Bill is survived by his wife, Louise, a son, Greg (Sue) Sonsalla of Madison; a daughter, Laurisa (Todd) Rosenow of White Bear Lake, MN; four grandchildren, Mackenzie, Tim, Mason and Taylor; a brother, Jim (Rosetta) Sonsalla of Plant City, FL and two sisters, Grace Wolfe of Arcadia and Maryan Dantonio of Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a brother, Luke J. Sonsalla; a sister-in-law, Peggy Sonsalla and two brothers-in-law, Gerald Wolfe and Justin Dantonio.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall with Father Woodrow Pace officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Sura-Wiersgalla American Legion Post #186 of Independence.

Burial will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner at a later date.

Friends may call on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall.
