William "Bill" Richard Mattson, age 73, of Ettrick, died on Monday, March 5, 2018 in the Gundersen Health System in LaCrosse.

Bill was born on February 24, 1945 in Whitehall, WI to Richard and Leone (Hardie) Mattson. He married Barbara Ann Ellingson on June 17, 1967 in Mayville, ND. Barbara preceded Bill in death on August 13, 2011.

Bill is survived by a son, Andy Mattson of Eden Prairie, MN; two grandchildren, Blake and Ysabel; a sister, Suzanne (Charles) Bilkey of Wales, WI; a niece, Sara (Gary) Lilla of Waterford, WI and two great-nephews, Matthew and Jacob Lilla.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the North Beaver Creek First Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery both in rural Ettrick. Pastor David Hendrickson will officiate.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

The Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.
